About The Position
Concept Rehab is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide high-quality occupational therapy services in a skilled nursing facility in Johnston, Iowa. Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current Iowa COTA license (or license eligible)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing experience preferred but not required
- New graduates encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist patients in improving activities of daily living (ADLs), mobility, safety awareness, and functional independence.
- Implement individualized treatment plans.
- Document patient progress in the electronic medical record.
- Communicate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
- Participate in discharge planning and care conferences.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, state regulations, and facility policies.
