About The Position

Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their in-house therapy team. This role focuses on patient care without productivity pressure and offers competitive wages and benefits. The COTA will implement individualized treatment plans, assist residents with exercises and daily living skills, teach adaptive equipment use, conduct therapeutic activities, and document patient progress.

Requirements

  • Current Oregon Occupational Therapy Assistant Certification
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrates effective problem-solving skills
  • Ability to collaborate with facility staff to promote the highest practicable physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being

Responsibilities

  • Implement individualized treatment plans to help residents achieve their goals
  • Assist residents with therapeutic exercises and daily living skills
  • Teach the use of adaptive equipment to promote independence
  • Conduct therapeutic activities and foster motivation
  • Document patient progress accurately and on time
