About The Position

Soar Autism Center is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their team. Soar provides interdisciplinary early intervention services for young children ages 2-6 with autism, utilizing the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM). In this role, the COTA will deliver high-quality pediatric occupational therapy under the supervision of a licensed OT, collaborating with speech therapists, BCBAs, and psychologists to support the whole child.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an ACOTE-accredited occupational therapy assistant program.
  • Current state licensure or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
  • Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and relationship-building skills, with a strong interest in interdisciplinary pediatric care.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong interest or experience in pediatric occupational therapy and neurodiversity-affirming care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct pediatric occupational therapy interventions to children ages 2–6 based on plans of care developed by supervising OTs.
  • Help children build fine and gross motor, sensory processing, feeding, and daily living skills in a center-based setting.
  • Integrate therapy goals into Soar’s ESDM-informed approach within an early intervention environment.
  • Collaborate closely with RBTs, SLPs, and other clinicians so occupational therapy targets are reinforced throughout each child’s day.
  • Partner with families to share progress and provide practical strategies they can use outside of therapy.
  • Support children with autism through naturalistic, engaging, and individualized treatment.
