About The Position

Newberry Health is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their exceptional team in Newberry County, SC. This is a full-time position primarily focused on outpatient pediatric therapy. Newberry Health is a 90-bed, acute care, independent, not-for-profit hospital committed to providing high-quality care. The rehab department also offers outpatient adult and pediatric therapy in freestanding clinics.

Requirements

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist Assistant in the state of South Carolina.
• BLS certification required, or must obtain within 60 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience as a COTA preferred.
• Will consider new graduate.

Responsibilities

• Administers optimal patient care with supervision of a licensed occupational therapist.
• Plans, organizes, and implements an occupational therapy program.
• Provides documentation and treatment for individual patients.
• Ensures all treatment media, approaches, and techniques are appropriate and specific to the population served.
