As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) with Home Health Care, Inc., you will work with patients inside their homes, addressing the everyday challenges that can be barriers to recovery. You will observe, adapt, teach, encourage, and problem-solve to help patients accomplish tasks they may have taken for granted. This role involves providing one-on-one therapy treatments, carrying out individualized treatment plans, addressing activities of daily living, providing therapeutic activities and exercises, working on upper-extremity function and coordination, reinforcing home exercise programs, teaching adaptive techniques, educating patients and caregivers on safety, reinforcing the use of adaptive equipment, monitoring patient response, identifying changes, and communicating them to the supervising Occupational Therapist. You will also collaborate with other interdisciplinary clinicians and complete timely and accurate clinical documentation. The role offers the opportunity to troubleshoot a patient's life by addressing their unique home environment, routines, support systems, and goals.
