About The Position

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital - Gilbert, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health and Dignity Health, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a PRN position in Gilbert/Chandler. This role is crucial in providing exceptional patient care within specialized rehabilitation programs. The hospital offers customized, individualized rehabilitation for patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury.

Requirements

• Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
• State Licensure/Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in patient care preferred

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L), acquire relevant patient information.
• Implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans using a variety of techniques and therapeutic activities.
• Work with a diverse diagnostic population.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and State Practice Act standards.
• Closely monitor patient progress.
• Contribute to the achievement of short- and long-term goals.
• Provide feedback and treatment recommendations to the supervising OTR/L as appropriate.
