About The Position

Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for Kindred Hospital The Palm Beaches LTAC. This PRN (as-needed) role supports patient care and rehabilitation while contributing to Lifepoint Health’s mission to make communities healthier.

The assistant communicates patient progress and concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team, instructs patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises, and supports patient scheduling and daily post-treatment charges. The role also involves accurate, compliant documentation, maintaining clean and safe treatment equipment and work areas, and following company policies, applicable laws, and professional standards. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Certification from the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA).
• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree.
• Current and valid state OTA license in Florida.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicate patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.
• Instruct patients’ families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises.
• Assist with patient scheduling and enter post-treatment charges in patient records daily.
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Maintain treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Comply with the Company’s Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable laws, and professional standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
