About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (OTA) at White Oak Manor - York. The role supports individualized care plans developed by Occupational Therapists and works with nursing, therapy, and rehabilitation departments as part of an interdisciplinary team. The position offers hourly compensation of $35 or more, based on experience. Previous occupational therapy experience is preferred, though new graduates are encouraged to apply.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in an Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited school.
Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Current state licensure, or eligibility for licensure, to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or school; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist in delivering individualized therapy based on Occupational Therapist-developed treatment plans, including activities that improve daily living skills such as dressing, eating, and mobility.
Track and document patient progress in accordance with facility policies, and report changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapy, occupational therapy, and nursing, to provide holistic care.
Educate patients and families about therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies for independence.
Lead or assist patients with exercises, activities of daily living, and other therapeutic tasks, fostering a positive and supportive environment.
