About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team at King David Nursing and Rehab. This role involves working alongside experienced clinicians to help residents develop the skills necessary for increased independence and engagement in daily activities.
Requirements
- Active Maryland COTA license required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.
- New graduates are welcome to apply.
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), strengthening, coordination, balance, and functional tasks.
- Carry out individualized treatment plans based on resident needs and goals.
- Monitor resident response to treatment and communicate progress to the supervising OT.
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques, equipment, and safety strategies.
- Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Collaborate with PT, OT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the care team.
