About The Position

HealthPro Heritage is hiring a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant for a full-time position at a long-term care facility in Los Gatos, California. The role involves carrying out individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by an Occupational Therapist, helping patients improve daily living skills and independence, documenting progress, and coordinating with interdisciplinary care teams. New graduates are encouraged to apply. Compensation is $55–$60 per hour, depending on experience. Flexible schedules and full-time benefits are offered at 30 hours.

Requirements

Associate’s degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) through the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
Current state licensure, or eligibility for licensure, to practice as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Previous experience in an occupational therapy setting, such as a hospital, clinic, or school; new graduates are also encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Assist in delivering individualized therapy based on treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist, including activities to improve daily living skills such as dressing, eating, and mobility.
Track and document patient progress in accordance with facility policies, and report changes or concerns to the Occupational Therapist.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physical therapists, occupational therapists, and nursing staff, to provide holistic care.
Educate patients and families about therapeutic exercises, adaptive equipment, and strategies for independence.
Lead or assist patients with exercises, activities of daily living, and other therapeutic tasks while encouraging engagement in a positive, supportive environment.
