About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Norwalk. This role is a great opportunity to work directly with residents while supporting their ability to complete everyday activities with greater confidence and independence.
Requirements
- Active Connecticut COTA license required
- Strong communication and resident-care skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduates are encouraged to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, strengthening, coordination, balance, and functional tasks
- Follow individualized treatment plans and support resident-specific rehabilitation goals
- Observe progress and communicate treatment updates to the supervising OT
- Reinforce adaptive techniques and safety strategies with residents and caregivers
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Work collaboratively with therapy, nursing, and other members of the care team
