About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Birch Manor. This full-time position is a great opportunity to provide hands-on therapy while helping residents strengthen everyday skills and work toward greater independence.
Requirements
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapy Assistant license required
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate COTAs are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, balance, and functional tasks
- Carry out individualized treatment programs established by the supervising OT
- Monitor resident response to therapy and communicate progress to the clinical team
- Reinforce adaptive techniques, equipment use, and safety strategies
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Work closely with nursing and other rehabilitation professionals
