About The Position
Harlem Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is looking for a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join the team at our Skilled Nursing Facility in New York, NY! The Allure Group is a consortium of six rehabilitation centers across Brooklyn and Manhattan, NY, specializing in post-acute and sub-acute skilled nursing and rehabilitation. We pride ourselves in providing a high standard of care for patients of all ages and conditions, while upholding an environment of kindness, dignity, and respect for employees and residents alike. Requirements
- Degree from an American Occupational Therapy Association Accredited School of Occupational Therapy
- Current NYS licensure
- COVID-19 Vaccination Preferred
- Previous experience in post-acute/long-term care
Responsibilities
- Work under the supervision of a licensed occupational therapist to assist with treatment programs
- Record treatment in medical records
- Communicates with interdisciplinary team members regarding resident progress, problems, and plans
- Records daily treatments and labor according to facility procedure
- Instructs families and staff in maintenance or home exercise programs
- Coordinate with inter-departmental personnel
