About The Position

The COTA is a member of the multi-disciplinary team that works in the use of therapeutic, creative and self-care activities toward the goal of coping with disability and improving functioning in the activities of daily living.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Occupational Therapy Assistant Program approved by the Louisiana State Board of Occupational Therapy Examiner or its equivalent.
• Currently licensed by the State of Louisiana
• Effective interpersonal written and verbal skills
• psychological sensitivity
• supervisory, and instructional skills.
• Must be able to work effectively with patients of all age groups, pediatrics, adolescents, adult and geriatric.
• Able to accurately document /record progress notes
• operate effectively and efficiently under stress.
