About The Position
We are seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Perring Parkway. This full-time opportunity is ideal for a COTA who enjoys helping residents regain independence and improve their ability to perform everyday activities in a supportive skilled nursing setting.
Requirements
- Active Maryland Occupational Therapy Assistant license required
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Strong communication, clinical, and teamwork skills
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate COTAs are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), strength, coordination, and functional mobility
- Implement individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT
- Monitor resident progress and communicate updates to the therapy team
- Educate residents and caregivers on adaptive techniques and safe daily activities
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other rehabilitation professionals
