About The Position
Lifepoint Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join their outpatient clinic team. This PRN position involves working weekdays, 3-4 days per week, with the flexibility to float to other departments as needed. The role focuses on helping patients regain independence and thrive in daily life through compassionate and detailed patient care.
Requirements
- Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT)
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program culminating in an Associate's degree
- Current and valid state OTA license or certificate of practice or equivalent in the states where services are rendered
- CPR certification (when required)
Responsibilities
- Report patient progress and concerns to supervising therapists and collaborate with the care team.
- Educate families and nursing staff on supportive follow-through programs.
- Assist with scheduling and accurately post patient charges to records.
- Document care clearly and compliantly, meeting all regulatory, licensure, payer, and accrediting standards.
- Foster a safe, organized, and clean treatment environment for everyone.
