About The Position

Dignity Health East Valley Rehabilitation Hospital, operated jointly with Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) for a PRN position. This role is crucial in providing exceptional patient care within our rehabilitation programs, which offer customized treatment for patients recovering from various conditions such as stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. The COTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to implement evidence-based treatment plans, document patient progress, and contribute to achieving patient goals.

Requirements

• Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) State Licensure/Certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in patient care preferred

Responsibilities

• Acquire relevant patient information.
• Implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans using a variety of techniques and therapeutic activities.
• Work with a diverse diagnostic population.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with hospital policies and State Practice Act standards.
• Closely monitor patient progress.
• Contribute to the achievement of short- and long-term goals.
• Provide feedback and treatment recommendations to the supervising OTR/L as appropriate.
