About The Position

TheraPeds Partners is a therapist-owned and operated organization that partners with schools to provide Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) services to PreK–12 students nationwide. As a team of special education providers, we understand the education process, IDEA requirements, and the importance of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Our mission is to deliver high-quality Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) services while making meaningful connections in a collaborative learning environment. TheraPeds Partners is seeking a full-time Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join a school team in Newport, New Hampshire for the 2026–2027 school year. Working under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist, the COTA will provide therapeutic support to elementary students while partnering with educators, families, and multidisciplinary staff to promote student success.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program
  • Active New Hampshire Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license through the NH Regulation & Licensing Department
  • Current NBCOT Certification
  • Ability to practice under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
  • Experience working with pediatric or school-age populations
  • Knowledge of sensory integration principles and developmental/sensory-motor interventions
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • Proficiency with technology and electronic documentation
  • Successful fingerprint/background clearance
  • Ability to build positive relationships with school staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct occupational therapy services to students
  • Assist with evaluations and assessments
  • Support the development and implementation of IEP goals
  • Monitor and document student progress
  • Participate in consultation with teachers, staff, and families
  • Assist with case management responsibilities
  • Work closely with the supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team to ensure high-quality student care
