About The Position
Ultimate Therapy is seeking a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join the rehabilitation team at Autumn Lake at Glen Hill. This full-time opportunity offers the chance to work closely with residents as they regain everyday skills, improve functional abilities, and work toward greater independence.
Requirements
- Active Connecticut COTA license required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a rehabilitation team
Nice To Haves
- Skilled nursing or post-acute care experience preferred, but not required
- New graduate COTAs are welcome to apply
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, strengthening, coordination, balance, and functional tasks
- Follow individualized treatment plans developed by the supervising OT
- Observe resident performance and communicate progress or changes to the clinical team
- Reinforce adaptive techniques, therapeutic activities, and safety strategies
- Complete accurate and timely treatment documentation
- Collaborate with OT, PT, SLP, nursing, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
