About The Position

Preferred Care at Home of Greater Huntsville is actively hiring dependable Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and experienced caregivers for immediate assignments. They are looking for individuals who want consistent hours, flexible scheduling, and to be part of a team that values their work. The company offers full-time, part-time, and PRN (as needed) positions. The work location is in-person in Huntsville, AL, and all surrounding areas.

Requirements

• 2 YEARS OF CAREGIVER EXPERIENCE OR AN ACTIVE CNA CERTIFICATION
• MUST HAVE VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE & RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
• MUST PASS BACKGROUND SCREENING
• 18 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER
• HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA/GED

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care (bathing, grooming, toileting and incontinence care)
• Provide mobility support and transfers
• Use assistive devices (gait belt, walker, wheelchair, Hoyer lift)
• Assist in fall prevention and general safety awareness
• Help reposition bedbound clients to prevent discomfort
• Offer companionship and daily living assistance
• Follow care plans and ensure client safety
• Light housekeeping
• Meal preparation
• Engage clients in hobbies, games, or activities
• Monitor for changes in mood or behavior
• Provide conversation and social interaction
• Provide reminders to take medications as scheduled
