About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) performs patient care activities and accommodative services under the general supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse. Duties are limited to the scope of the position; the CNA does not administer medications or therapy and does not assume independent responsibility for patient care. Work is performed in accordance with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines, and includes other related duties as assigned or requested.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Certification as a nursing assistant (CNA) where required by the state in which the hospital is located.
- Current BLS certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Two to three years of experience in an acute hospital, rehabilitation hospital, or skilled nursing unit preferred.
Responsibilities
- Perform patient care activities within the limits of the position under the general supervision of a Registered or Licensed Vocational/Practical Nurse.
- Provide accommodative services to patients.
- Perform duties consistently with PAM Health policies, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
