Certified Nursing Assistant / CNA, Hospice
About The Position
AccentCare is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant to provide compassionate, hands-on hospice care in the Renton, Washington / King County coverage area. The role is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., with pay of $24–$30 per hour based on experience. The aide supports patients in their homes and care facilities by helping with personal hygiene, repositioning, mobility, and other daily living needs while preserving patient comfort, safety, and dignity. The position involves frequent physical activity and travel between care settings, as well as working in varying home and facility conditions while following infection-control and safety protocols.
Requirements
- Be state-certified as a nurse’s aide and have completed required training.
- Pass the agency competency exam with a score of 85% or higher.
- Meet additional state-specific requirements where applicable.
- Hold CPR certification for direct patient care in Washington.
- Be listed on the state aide registry with a clear record and eligibility to provide care in homes, nursing facilities, or hospitals.
- Have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s license, and state-required auto insurance.
Responsibilities
- Provide hospice patients with hands-on care, including assistance with personal hygiene, repositioning, and mobility.
- Support patients in homes or care facilities through physical activity, including walking, standing, reaching, and occasional driving.
- Assist with lifting patients, which may involve lifting up to 200 pounds with assistance.
- Monitor patients’ comfort, respond to their needs, and assist with activities of daily living while maintaining safety and dignity.
- Adapt to varying home and facility conditions, including temperature changes, moderate noise, and standard healthcare exposures.
- Follow infection-control and safety protocols and provide timely, dignified end-of-life care.
