About The Position

Mission Hospital is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to work as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on its Cardiovascular PCU. The PCT is a vital member of the collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in providing hands-on patient care and creating a safe, welcoming environment. The role assists with patients’ daily needs, helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, and contributes to comfort, dignity, and recovery.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in North Carolina.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
