About The Position

Mission Hospital is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to work as a Patient Care Technician (PCT) on the Cardiovascular PCU. The PCT is a vital part of the collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses with hands-on patient care and helping maintain a safe, welcoming environment. The role includes assisting patients with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, while helping RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans. The position calls for attention, empathy, and teamwork to support patient comfort and dignity.

Requirements

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in North Carolina.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
