About The Position
Provides health care for residents under the direction of a nurse. Assists residents with day-to-day tasks and plays a vital support role. The position is in the Marwood Nursing and Rehab department, with a shift from 7:45 PM to 6:15 AM and 80 scheduled bi-weekly hours.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Current state Certified Nursing Assistant certification.
Responsibilities
- Answer resident calls and determine how best to help residents.
- Provide physical support with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting out of bed, using the toilet, walking, standing, and exercising.
- Turn and reposition bedridden patients.
- Ensure residents receive an appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences; encourage and support residents with eating.
- Provide compassionate support, attention, and assistance to residents and families.
- Perform other related duties as required and directed.
