About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at West Bend supports residents’ well-being by providing individualized care, companionship, and reassurance. The role helps create a warm, supportive, homelike environment that respects each resident’s dignity and promotes independence. CNAs collaborate with nursing and healthcare teams to provide coordinated care and monitor residents’ physical and emotional well-being. Full-time day and evening shifts and part-time night shifts are available.
Requirements
- Hold a valid, current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Indiana.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting, bending, and assisting with resident mobility.
- Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence.
Responsibilities
- Provide companionship and emotional support to create a comforting and engaging atmosphere.
- Collaborate with nursing and healthcare teams to ensure coordinated, comprehensive care.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Assist residents with mobility, including transferring and repositioning, to prevent discomfort and promote independence.
- Assist residents during mealtimes, supporting proper nutrition intake and individual dietary needs.
- Monitor and report changes in residents’ physical and emotional well-being.
