About The Position
AvaMed Workforce is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for a six-month evening contract at California State Prison, Corcoran in Corcoran, California. The assignment is in the Medical department and uses eight-hour shifts with a 30-minute meal break. The schedule is Thursday through Monday, 1:45 PM to 10:15 PM. The assignment runs from November 23, 2026, through May 23, 2027. Orientation lasts one week, followed by four to six weeks of on-the-job training. Cerner EHR experience and basic computer skills are highly desired. Pay details are available by contacting the employer.
Requirements
- Active California CNA certification (CDPH).
- Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).
- Background check and facility security clearance.
- TB test, immunizations, and facility health clearances.
Nice To Haves
- Correctional experience is preferred.
- Cerner EHR experience and basic computer skills are highly desired.
Responsibilities
- Assist with patient care, vital signs, and activities of daily living.
- Document care accurately and report changes to nursing staff.
- Follow all safety, security, and contraband procedures.
