About The Position
Brookdale South Bay is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants to provide personalized care to seniors in Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living at its community in South Kingstown, Rhode Island. Full-time, part-time, and per-diem opportunities are available, with shifts from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Shift differentials are offered for second and third shifts and weekends. CNAs work with community management to support residents, communicate resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift, assist with dining and personal care, check vital signs, and perform clinical procedures according to community policy. Brookdale describes opportunities for career advancement into roles such as Medication Technician (QMAP), Home Care Aide, and Nurse. Benefits and eligibility vary by employment status.
Requirements
- Successfully complete a State CNA/STNA course.
- Maintain CNA/STNA certification.
Responsibilities
- Work with community management to provide seniors with personalized care.
- Give resident status updates at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Check in with residents and assist with dining and personal care needs.
- Perform vital sign checks and clinical procedures according to community policy.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including showers, bathroom assistance, and dressing and grooming.
