About The Position

The Hospice Aide provides compassionate, dignified care to hospice clients and support to their families facing end-of-life healthcare needs. The role helps maintain continuity of care and addresses clients’ physical, spiritual, and emotional needs, including assistance with personal hygiene and bathing. Hospice aides collaborate closely with the nurse case manager to ensure patient needs are met according to the established care plan. This full-time position serves Springfield, Missouri, and surrounding areas, Monday through Friday during the day.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Hold CNA certification.
• Have a valid driver’s license.
• Have a reliable vehicle with current auto insurance.
• Be able to pass a drug test.
• Be able to pass a background check.

Nice To Haves

• Hospice or long-term care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care, including bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, according to the Hospice Aide Plan of Care.
• Document care provided according to agency policy.
• Report deviations from the Plan of Care to the Case Manager or, if unavailable, a designee.
• Use Durable Medical Equipment safely.
• Maintain records of services performed and the apparent condition of the patient.
