About The Position
Lutheran SeniorLife is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) Off-Site for its LIFE program in Lawrence County. The LIFE program provides person-centered, comprehensive services to county residents to help them maintain independence at home and in the community. The Certified Nursing Assistant performs basic duties to help participants maintain an environment suited to their needs and supports mobility exercises to promote independence and maintain current functioning. The role provides care across center and home settings in a manner that supports participant satisfaction and retention. Care activities include assisting with walking, transfers, mobility devices, restroom access, toileting, incontinence care, feeding, showering, transportation vehicles, and socialization at the center. Successful performance requires supporting the LIFE Program's mission and core values and demonstrating teamwork.
Requirements
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Current Pennsylvania State Nurse Aide Certification; must be listed on the state nurse aide registry and have no allegations.
- At least one year of experience with the frail or elderly.
- Dependable transportation and a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Help participants maintain an environment consistent with their needs.
- Assist participants with mobility exercises to support independence and maintain their current level of functioning.
- Provide care across center and home settings in a manner that supports participant satisfaction and retention.
- Assist with walking, transfers, and use of mobility devices.
- Help participants get to and from the restroom, provide toileting and incontinence care, and assist with feeding and showering.
- Assist participants getting in and out of transportation vehicles.
- Support participant socialization at the center.
- Support the LIFE Program's mission and core values and demonstrate teamwork.
