About The Position

Visiting Angels Albuquerque is seeking Certified Nursing Assistants to provide compassionate in-home care to senior adults and others in need in Los Lunas and surrounding communities. The role combines companionship and practical assistance, including personal care, mobility support, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and transportation. Caregivers may also have opportunities for advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver disposition.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate manner.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home or outside, including for appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties that clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
