About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Greensboro is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) helps provide compassionate patient care throughout that process. This is a PRN role scheduled for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. in Durham, North Carolina, with compensation of $24 per hour. The position offers an extensive orientation program and the possibility of future full-time opportunities based on demonstrated skills and dedication.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Clean instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
