About The Position

Select Specialty Hospital - Greensboro is a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronically and critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. Certified Nursing Assistants provide compassionate care to patients throughout their recovery. This PRN position is based in Durham, North Carolina, and is scheduled for 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Compensation is $24 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field, such as medical assistant work or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient services, including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to and from treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters with moving patients into and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
• Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
• Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
