About The Position
Care Initiatives is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (also referred to as a Certified Nurse Aide) to provide compassionate care in one of its skilled nursing communities throughout Iowa. The role supports residents during their healthcare journey by assisting with daily living, offering companionship and emotional support, monitoring health, and encouraging recreational and therapeutic activities. The posting lists full-time work and a days schedule.
Requirements
- Active Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in Iowa, or the ability to activate certification.
- Strong commitment to resident care, professionalism, and teamwork.
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while fostering a positive and engaging environment.
- Communicate with residents, families, and the healthcare team.
- Monitor residents’ health, including conducting routine vital checks.
- Encourage and facilitate recreational and therapeutic activities that support residents’ health and daily routines.
- Follow infection control protocols to maintain a clean and safe environment.
