About The Position

Healthstaff Services Inc., a home care staffing agency, is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide one-on-one services to clients in their homes in Oxford, Georgia. The agency seeks qualified, dependable, forward-thinking and compassionate professionals dedicated to enhancing clients’ quality of life and delivering outstanding home care. The applicant must live within 30 to 40 minutes of Oxford and be able to work Saturdays.

The CNA supports clients with personal hygiene and activities of daily living, monitors and documents patient information, promotes comfort and safety, follows workplace policies and procedures, and maintains confidentiality and professional knowledge.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Georgia State CNA license.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Six months or more of experience.
• Must live within 30 to 40 minutes of Oxford, Georgia.
• Must be able to work Saturdays.
• Multi-tasking, medical teamwork, bedside manner, infection control, nursing skills, health promotion and maintenance, creating a safe and effective environment, informing others, judgment, pain management, and acute/critical care skills.

Nice To Haves

• Hoyer lift experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with personal hygiene, including bedpans, urinals, baths, backrubs, shampoos, shaves, bathroom trips, and showers.
• Assist with activities of daily living, including serving meals, feeding patients as needed, ambulating, turning, positioning, and providing water and nourishment between meals.
• Check vital signs and weight, test urine, and record intake and output information.
• Promote patient comfort and report observations to the nursing supervisor.
• Complete forms, reports, logs, and records documenting actions.
• Follow policies and procedures to maintain work operations.
• Keep patient information confidential.
• Participate in educational opportunities, read professional publications, and maintain licensure.
• Log in for shifts and track time.
