About The Position
The Certified Nursing Assistant works as part of ProHealth Care’s System Float team, traveling among its hospitals in Waukesha, Mukwonago, and Oconomowoc. The role may cover Medical/Surgical, Ortho/Neuro, Observation, Inpatient Oncology, Heart Care, Intensive Care, and Behavioral Health units. The position offers exposure to varied staff, patients, and hospital specialties, with opportunities to broaden clinical knowledge and practice. The schedule is 0.4 FTE, with 8-hour day shifts and an every-other-weekend and holiday rotation.
Requirements
- Less than a high school diploma, a high school diploma, or equivalent.
- For inpatient CNA work, Certified Nursing Assistant credential in the State of Wisconsin, active or expired and on the registry.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA), or ability to obtain it upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist the nursing team with patient care activities related to patients’ personal needs, comfort, and safety.
- Assist patients with personal hygiene and dressing changes as needed.
- Support nursing staff with clinical and administrative tasks throughout the shift.
- Assist with administrative tasks for the nursing team.
