Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
About The Position
Philip Health Services is hiring a full-time Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to support safe, respectful care for residents and help keep the care team informed. This onsite position is in Philip, South Dakota, and pays $20.15–$28.80 per hour. The role involves rotating shifts, including mornings, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. A typical shift begins with receiving report and orienting to the assignment. The CNA moves between resident rooms and common areas, checks in with residents, answers call lights, watches for changes to share with the nurse, documents in the EMR, and completes a thorough handoff at the end of the shift.
Requirements
- Strong communication and attention to detail.
- Compassion, empathy, and patience with residents and families.
- Flexibility across rotating shifts and changing care priorities.
- Comfort with vital signs monitoring and EMR documentation.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living.
- Monitor and record vital signs.
- Complete timely EMR charting to communicate changes and needs.
- Check in with residents and answer call lights.
- Observe and share changes in residents’ condition with the nurse.
- Work with the care team and provide clear handoffs.
