About The Position

Sunrise Senior Living is hiring a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), also described as a Designated Nursing Assistant/Certified Nursing Assistant (DNA/CNA), to provide direct hands-on care in a skilled nursing community. The role supports residents’ clinical, personal, nutritional, and restorative needs and helps promote their dignity, safety, and quality of life. Care is provided according to Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), with collaboration with licensed nurses on restorative care and care planning programs.

Requirements

• Active CNA certification in accordance with state regulations.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• Ability to remain calm in challenging situations.
• Flexible availability for evenings, weekends, and peak service times.

Nice To Haves

• Skilled nursing or senior care experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care based on Individualized Service Plans (ISP).
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, mobility, dining, and toileting.
• Obtain and report vital signs, intake, and changes in residents’ conditions.
• Partner with licensed nurses on restorative and care planning programs.
• Support fall prevention, skin care, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and restorative records.
• Respond promptly to resident, family, and visitor concerns.
• Follow infection control, OSHA, and safety guidelines.
