About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in Rehabilitation at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health Rehabilitation Hospital delivers basic patient care under the supervision of nursing staff. The role supports patient comfort, daily living activities, and clinical procedures. This is a full-time, union position scheduled for 12-hour day shifts, three shifts per week. The wage range is $23.50–$34.59 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Completion of a licensed nursing assistant program.
• Current state certification as a Nursing Assistant.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of experience in an acute care or long-term care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic patient care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
• Provide general nursing support, including positioning, lifting, and turning patients, and using special equipment.
• Assist with toileting using bedpans, urinals, commodes, or by helping patients walk to the bathroom.
• Accurately measure and timely document temperature, pulse, respiration, weight, height, blood pressure, and intake and output.
• Prepare patient rooms for admission and transfer, ensuring cleanliness and equipment readiness.
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment, including attention to ventilation and lighting.
• Support patient admission, transfer, and discharge procedures, including handling patient belongings.
• Respond promptly and appropriately to patient call lights, phones, and pages.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
