Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
- BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
- Certification as a nursing assistant.
- Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field, such as medical assistant work or active enrollment as an RN student.
Responsibilities
- Provide patient care including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
- Participate in hourly rounds.
- Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
- Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
- Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
- Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
