About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works at Select Specialty Hospital – Milwaukee – West Allis, a critical illness recovery hospital providing inpatient post-ICU services to chronic, critically ill patients who need extended healing and recovery. CNAs provide compassionate care to patients during vulnerable stages of recovery. This is a full-time day-shift position scheduled from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The company offers an extensive orientation program, career-growth opportunities, a clinical ladder program, and continuing education support. Requirements

High school diploma or GED, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience.
BLS certification is required within 90 days of hire.
Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, nursing assistant certification, or experience in a related field such as medical assisting or active enrollment as an RN student.

Responsibilities

Provide patient services, including bathing with basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding, and hair care.
Participate in hourly rounds.
Transport patients to and from treatment centers as needed, and assist transporters with moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs.
Maintain the cleanliness of instruments and equipment, including bedpans, urinals, and wheelchairs.
Keep patients’ rooms clean and orderly.
Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
