Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Full Time Days
About The Position
Red Cliffs Health and Rehab is a skilled nursing facility in St. George, Utah, providing care for geriatric patients who require 24/7 care. The facility is expanding its nursing team and offers a supportive setting for CNAs, with on-the-job training tailored to each individual’s comfort level and experience. Applicants who are not yet certified may receive payment for their nursing assistant certification, valued at over $500. This is a full-time day-shift position, scheduled from 6 AM to 6 PM, three days per week. CNAs support residents with daily living activities, respond to their needs, monitor and record intake and output, and report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
Requirements
- Current CNA certification, or willingness to become certified within 120 days of employment.
- Effective communication with coworkers and residents.
- Willingness to learn local, state, and federal laws and regulations regarding long-term care.
Responsibilities
- Answer residents’ call lights to determine their needs.
- Turn and reposition residents while they are in bed.
- Provide physical support to help residents perform daily living activities, including getting in and out of bed, bathing, eating, dressing, using the bathroom, standing, walking, and exercising.
- Review dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences to ensure residents receive an appropriate diet.
- Record food and liquid intake and output as necessary.
- Report changes in residents’ conditions to nursing staff.
- Develop relationships with residents to help ensure their stay is comfortable.
