About The Position

The CNA will contribute to a supportive and cooperative working environment, the well being and success of all customers by being positive, flexible and willing to help. The individual will partner with residents to provide resident centered care including ADL’s and the preparation and serving of meals. This is in Assisted Care/Enhanced Living.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) course of study that is documented by an organization approved through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with Residents, Team Members and Visitors and must be able to communicate effectively in English.
  • Must exhibit tact and patience when dealing with challenging situations.
  • Satisfactory completion of a background investigation is required for this position.

Responsibilities

  • Provide resident centered care including ADL’s and the preparation and serving of meals.
  • Provide personal care, light housekeeping, meal preparation and delivery, companion care, and transport on the North Hill campus.
  • Follow Medicare requirements and regulations when conducting certified home visits, and follow all agency policy and procedure for care and services provided to all patients/residents.
  • Follow a written plan of care when providing direct patient care, and ensures that training has been conducted by the Wellness Nurse.
  • Complete all required annual education on a timely basis.
  • Adhere to required policies and procedures related to confidentiality of personal health information of patients as required by HIPAA standards for medical information.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and provides input for care coordination and collaboration.
  • Participate in department meetings, as required.
  • May participate in the clinical orientation of Certified Nursing Assistants as requested by their manager.
  • Comply with all HIPAA regulations, attend new team member orientation and complete all required annual education and training.
