About The Position

Join our Wellness Family as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Home Health Aide (HHA) and help us enrich lives through compassionate care. We are looking for full and part-time CNAs to work the 7am-3pm shift, which includes every other weekend. Our team is dedicated to providing essential assistance in daily activities, ensuring our residents are well-taken care of. Your role will involve tasks such as helping with personal care, serving meals, managing laundry, engaging in meaningful conversations, and promptly addressing resident needs. Requirements

  • Successful completion of state competency exam for CNA certification.
  • Home Health Aid (HHA) certificate signed by a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Ability to move and assist residents.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Genuine care and empathy for residents' well-being.
  • Accurate recording of resident information and vital signs.
  • Ability to work effectively with healthcare professionals as part of the Wellness team.
  • Adherence to ethical standards and maintenance of resident information privacy.
  • Must show valid proof of full vaccination for COVID-19 before commencing work or commit to obtaining full vaccination within 30 days of commencing work, unless an approved exemption is received.

Responsibilities

  • Help residents with daily activities like bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Serve meals and ensure residents receive the correct nutrition, following dietary guidelines and preferences.
  • Manage laundry efficiently to maintain a clean and comfortable environment for residents.
  • Address residents' needs quickly and with empathy, demonstrating attentive care.
  • Collaborate with other care professionals to ensure an effective care team.
  • Record observations and updates on residents' conditions for accurate record-keeping.
  • Adhere to safety rules and infection control measures to maintain resident health.
  • Participate in training and education to continuously improve caregiving skills.
