About The Position

BAYADA is recruiting Caregivers and Certified Nursing Assistants to serve patients on a per-visit basis in the Tri-County area, including Mount Pleasant, Charleston, James/Johns Island, Daniel Island, Ladson/Goose Creek, and West Ashley. As a member of the Assistive Care team, the employee provides one-on-one support to help adults live safely and independently at home. Following a written plan of care by a registered nurse, the caregiver provides personal care, household support, and companion care. BAYADA offers training, flexible scheduling, and team support, and describes its work as guided by compassion, excellence, and reliability.

Requirements

• At least one year of work experience providing hands-on care, or a Home Health Aide Certificate, or a Certified Nursing Assistant License.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to clients’ homes as assigned.
• Passion for caregiving, private in-home care, and helping others.
• Empathy, patience, kindness, and respect.
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, excellent, and reliable patient care.

Responsibilities

• Follow a written plan of care provided by a registered nurse.
• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, toileting, and nail care.
• Provide household support, including light housekeeping, laundry, and bed making.
• Prepare meals and assist with feeding.
• Assist with range-of-motion activities and exercises.
• Assist with ambulation, transfers, and use of mechanical lifting devices.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Check vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration.
• Travel to assigned clients’ homes to provide care.
