About The Position

The Certified Nursing Assistant plays an integral role in providing exceptional care and service to residents who need dedicated hands-on assistance. The role is full-time on the 11 p.m.–7 a.m. shift and requires rotating weekend availability. A valid Massachusetts Nurse’s Aide Registration is required. The position is with Maplewood Senior Living in West Yarmouth, within the Resident Care department.

Requirements

• Current Nurse’s Aide Registration; the position specifies a valid Massachusetts Nurse’s Aide Registration.
• Experience and passion in working with seniors.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including pushing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers, and other staff members.
• Good physical and emotional health and freedom from communicable diseases.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with care needs, including bathing, dressing, continence care, dining, and mobility support.
• Engage residents through interaction and conversation, as well as programs and activities.
• Work with the nursing team to ensure resident care needs are met.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work environment.
• Help maintain residents’ rooms.
