About The Position

Lake Prince Woods, a premier not-for-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC) in Suffolk, Virginia, is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Healthcare Unit team. This is a full-time position with a unique Baylor weekend schedule where employees work 32 hours and get paid for 40. The role involves providing direct resident care and assisting residents in achieving and maintaining their highest level of independence and well-being.

Requirements

• Current Virginia Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required.
• Successful completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
• Must be at least 16 years of age in accordance with Department of Labor regulations.
• Compassion, reliability, and a commitment to exceptional resident care.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of three (3) months of experience performing basic nursing assistant duties preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
• Supporting residents in maintaining independence and quality of life.
• Observing, reporting, and documenting changes in resident condition.
• Following physician orders, care plans, and nursing instructions.
• Providing compassionate, resident-centered care in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Working collaboratively with nurses and the interdisciplinary care team.
