About The Position

Signature HealthCARE at Colonial Rehab & Wellness Center is a 69-bed facility offering services from short-term rehabilitation to traditional long-term care. The organization provides integrated healthcare services across multiple states, including skilled nursing, rehabilitation, assisted and memory care, and home-based services. The Certified Nursing Assistant performs direct resident care under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel and helps maintain a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment. The role provides activities of daily living within the scope of practice and each resident’s plan of care. The stated schedule is 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., five days a week, including every other weekend. Salary is up to $23.60 per hour.

Requirements

• Current, active Nursing Assistant certification from the state in which the facility operates.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a nursing team and under the direction of licensed nursing staff.
• Customer-service orientation and ability to work well under pressure.
• Approachable, flexible, and adaptable to change.
• Ability to function independently with flexibility and personal integrity, and to work effectively with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel.
• Help promote a compassionate physical and psychosocial environment in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
• Provide activities of daily living within the scope of practice and the resident’s plan of care.
• Change bed linen and maintain appropriate grooming supplies in resident rooms.
• Ambulate and transfer residents using appropriate assistive devices and body mechanics.
• Record resident vital signs, weights and measurements, intake and output, food consumption, and other assigned information.
• Routinely turn and position residents as necessary.
• Recognize and support resident rights and choices within the care environment.
• Maintain established housekeeping standards in assigned duty areas.
• Promptly answer call lights and assist with resident needs.
• Assist with orientation and training of other staff as requested.
• Perform other special projects and duties as assigned.
