About The Position

Rehab Without Walls Neuro Rehabilitation is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to provide basic, person-centered care in a supportive residential setting. The CNA supports nurses and helps clients maintain dignity, comfort, and independence by attending to personal care needs, recording vital signs, and providing simple or uncomplicated patient care. The role requires working within the scope of the applicable certification and state standards of practice. The listed pay range is USD $20.00–$22.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record as defined by agency policy.
• CNA or Home Health Care Aide certification if required by state licensure in the state where care is provided.
• Completion of a recognized home care aide training program or six months of recent experience as an aide.
• Ability to use proper body mechanics when lifting; may be expected to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for periods of time, and to bend, stoop, push, pull, and reach.

Responsibilities

• Assist nurses with basic care activities related to patients’ personal needs and comfort.
• Dress, groom, bathe, and feed patients.
• Take and record patients’ vital signs, including temperature, pulse, and respiration rate.
• Answer call lights and assist with toileting, oral care, nail care, and catheter care.
• Assist patients in wheelchairs, transport them, and turn bedridden patients.
• Report changes in patients’ conditions.
• Take out trash, clean rooms, and change bed linens.
• Give medication as directed by a physician or nurse and document the amount and time given.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
