About The Position

The Nurse Aide works under the direct supervision of an RN/LPN and receives delegated assignments to support quality patient care. The role participates in the implementation phase of the nursing process and is organizationally accountable to the Nurse Manager. The Nurse Aide must demonstrate the knowledge and skills needed to provide technical care appropriate to the ages of patients served, understand principles of growth and development, collect and relay appropriate patient data to the nurse, and provide care according to department policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Certified Nurse Aid Certificate due upon hire.
• Basic Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.

Nice To Haves

• Diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months' experience as a Certified Nurse Aide preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete assignments delegated by the RN/LPN to support quality patient care.
• Participate in the implementation phase of the nursing process.
• Provide technical care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
• Collect and relay appropriate data to the nurse.
• Provide care in accordance with department policies and procedures.
